What is up everyone! Another month means we are back with a another review for you guys. I hope everyone is doing well and hope you all have had a great holiday. I'm not sure if this will be the last Blog for the year or not but I did signup for the myanimelist secret Santa this year so there may be a post coming from that.
The Anime up for review today is one that I watched a few season back and didn't realize it had a movie until now. The Anime for review is Backflip the Movie, for those that don't know Backflip is a Anime about a high school men's Rhythm Gymnastics team and its a decent enough anime so I knew the movie would be at least decent.
The movie starts off with them preparing for the Inter-High tournament and as exciting as that sounds this is where the movie takes its first dip. We see the team arrive for the competition but them it just transitions away from it and a few scenes later we find out that they lost. It was strange that they decided not to show the competition and from there the movie sort of just stumbles along.
From here, we see the senior members prepare to graduate and do one last routine. The movie honestly just sort of treads along and you can sort of just tune it out for most of the second half and not miss anything. If you are a fan of the show then the movie is a decent companion piece but don't expect anything new or really much expansion of the story.
