AIR: Forgotten Anime 23?

What is up guys! Hope everyone is doing great. Its that time again, we have a new blog post for you to enjoy. This week I will be doing another forgotten Anime but this one is a little different because its not so much forgotten as it is overshadowed by a Anime that I consider to be its predecessor.

The Anime in question today is none other than AIR. AIR debuted back in 2005 and the first thing you will notice is that it looks pretty similar to another anime, just a random one you may not know called Clannad, well both Animes are done by the same studio.

One reason that I say that AIR is more overshadowed rather than forgotten is due to the fact that not only did if come out two years before Clannad but the show also has a similar flow and story to Clannad and the story was more polished so once Clannad blew up AIR fell to the background.

If you enjoy Clannad then that means you don't mind a Anime being a bit of a tearjerker and if that's the case you will enjoy AIR because the story is calming yet at times it will really bring out your emotions.

Overall I highly recommend AIR,  it has a beautiful story,  great characters and just overall its a really great anime, the anime is also dubbed so that should make it easier to find and enjoy.

Well that's all for this post I hope you all enjoy AIR if you haven't seen it and if you have let me know what you think.

Thanks for reading

Movie Discussion: Burn The Witch (2020)

What is up everyone! Hope you are all doing well and staying safe, see told you guys I would be back soon lol. Im back with new movie discussion, I  don't want to call it a review because im not sure I could do a review justice but this is a Anime I defiantly wanted to talk about.

The movie im discussing today is one that was easily one of the most talked about Animes for the Summer Season and that is Burn The Witch. For those who don't know Burn The Witch is by Mangaka Tite Kubo who also created a little manga you may know called Bleach but Spoiler alert the Burn The Witch movie is no Bleach.

Burn The Witch focuses on three main characters and they are Noel, Ninny and Balgo with the later just being comic relief more than anything else. While all the do have their own personalities they don't do enough to stand out from each other and it makes what little personality they do have sort of bland.

The weakest point of this whole movie is the plot, I wont go into to much detail in case you decide to watch it but the plot feels as if you are just thrown right into the middle of a series that's already started and they give you little to no info on whats happening.  The story is a bit bare bones and the movie honestly just feels like the movie is meant for a soft introduction to the manga.

If im being honest, unless your a big Bleach fan, I cant really recommend this movie, granted it is a short watch due to being three episodes it just doesn't have enough story to really hold your attention for very long but there are some cool looking dragons so there's that.

Well thats it for this discussion, I hope you all enjoy reading and Ill see you all on the next post.

Gangsta: Forgotten Anime 20?

Hey Everyone! Hope you are all doing well and if you are in any of the areas with the hurricane than I hope you are all safe.  Im back today with another forgotten anime for you guys. Its never easy to pick a anime to cover for this series but I think I have a good one today.

The anime that I will be discussing today is the Anime Gangsta. Gangsta premiered during the Summer 2015 season, and while I dont know if it had any hype behind it but I was pretty excited to watch it due to it being a darker toned anime. The anime revolves around the two main characters of Nicholas and Worick who are mercenaries.

For the most part the anime basically follows them as they take on different jobs but we also get peaks into their life as well as the people they work for. It is pretty easy to see why the anime may be forgotten because it came out at the same time as a little anime that you may know called Prison School.

If you enjoy anime's like Banana Fish then you will enjoy Gangsta but I would say that its not quite as good. Gangsta is licensed so you should be able to find it easily, I feel like its also dubbed but im not sure about that.

Thank you guys for reading! I hope you all enjoy it.

Movie Review:The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya(2010)

What is up everyone! I hope you are all doing well and having a great Monday. It is finally time, I am back with another review for you guys and this is a review that I thought I had already done but seems like I hadn't. The review I have for today is a movie that normally I don't hear many good things about but I think you will find that i'm not as negative on it.

The movie in discussion today is the one and the only Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya. Ill start by saying going into this movie, I didnt have the most positive view because not only had I always heard that the movie was long and a bit boring but I also didnt enjoy the the series that much so I figured this might be more of the same.

The premise of the movie is that during the winter Kyon goes to school for a holiday presentation and finds out that Haruhi has seemed to have disappeared and nobody remembers the S.O.S Brigade. I wont dive to far into spoilers but from here we follow Kyon as he goes on the search for Haruhi and try to bring back the memories of the Brigade.

The movie follows along the same lines as the show but I can say that the comedy is toned down and takes on a more serious tone but for me it was more enjoyable with less comedy. I can see why people are not huge fans of the movie but personally I felt like the movie had better pacing and also the characters seemed to have more personality which made me enjoy it.

Overall is it a great movie? No, but I can say I did enjoy it and I rated it a 7/10 on myanimelist.

Thanks for reading and I hope you Enjoyed it!

Update on reviews on the Blog

What is up everyone! I hope you all are doing well. This will be a short post today but I wanted to come in a update you guys on some changes that will be happening with the reviews coming up in the near future.

As many of you may have heard, Kissanime has officially shut down( for good it seems) so that means that all the anime I had saved to watch and review is now gone( R.I.P my backlog). im currently in the process of trying to scrap together the few anime that I can find on kissanime.nz and then ill just have to find new anime to add to my list that I am now backing up on myanimelist.

Rebuilding the backlog wont play a role in the forgotten anime post as almost all of those animes are one that I have already watched but I was planning to get back to doing movie and ova reviews in the next few weeks but those are on hold for at least a week or two until I can get a semi decent list back together.

Sorry the reviews havent been back yet but I promise they will be back sooner rather than later and hopefully in a week or two. Thanks for your patience and thanks for reading. Hope you all have a great week!

Cross Ange: Rondo of Angel and Dragon: Forgotten Anime 19?

What is up guys! Hope you all are doing well and staying safe, I am finally back with a new Forgotten anime post and I hope you all enjoy it. I'm hoping to bring post back on a regular basis which means I really need to take advantage of the scheduling feature lol. Also before I get started I want to say thanks to everyone still checking out the blog because our numbers are still really solid so I appreciate it alot.

So as many of you know, when it comes to these forgotten animes, most of them are ones that were my favorite and this one is no exception. This is an anime that I think got over looked due to how graphic it could be and I think for some that overshadowed the story. The anime that is the topic today is the one and only Cross Ange.

Cross Ange premiered during the fall 2014 season alongside some pretty heavy hitters such as Seven Deadly Sins and an anime that you probably didn't watch called Shirobako. For a little backstory Cross Ange takes place in a world where you either have a power called Mana or you don't and if you don't then your basically a second class citizen and this goes double for Ange because she is from the royal family yet has no mana so she is disowned. Ange gets sent to this island where all the girls who don't have mana go and live out their days fighting dragons.

I would say that a lot of the stuff that takes place on the island could be the reason that the show has become forgotten because there are some scenes that are a bit hard to watch because they are unexpected and for me personally some of the character deaths really hit hard. Once you get past that though the story really picks up and it becomes a story of acceptance and a very well done one at that.

If you have not seen the anime by chance I would highly recommend it, I gave it a 9/10 on Myanimelist. The series should not be to hard to find if you do want to watch it, im pretty sure most of the legal sites except Crunchyroll should have it available to watch so I hope you enjoy.

Thank you for reading and I hope you all enjoy!

Dog & Scissors: Forgotten Anime 18?

Hello guys! Hope that everyone is doing great, sorry for the long absence from the blog but the train is back on the tracks!. We are back today with another entry in the forgotten Anime series and this is one that even I forgot about but still love. The Anime we will be discussing today is the one and only Dog & Scissors.

Dog and Scissors is a anime that debuted during the Summer season in 2013 and it was about a guy who turns into a dog and becomes the pet to his favorite writer but she is a bit sadistic to put it lightly. I remember loving this anime when it was out because if im being honest I do like my anime girls to be a little crazy and in this anime Natsuno fits the bill.

It is easy to see how this anime was forgotten because it came out along heavy hitters such as: Blood Lad, Free! and some anime called Danganronpa. What I loved about the series was not only was it funny but the relationship was never like a pet and their owner but like a owner and their toy and while that sounds bad it did match the show funny even if it was a little repetitive at times.

If you enjoy shows like Prison School, then I think this will fall right down your alley and I highly recommend it.

Alright guys, thanks for readng this and I hope you enjoy. I willl be back regularly now because I want to be more active with you guys.

Winter Anime 2020...Not My Favorite Season

What is up everyone! Sorry for the long absence here on the blog but im finally back and the post will be rolling in. I hope you all have been doing well and enjoying the new year. Just a little update, I recently went to Seishun Con here in Georgia and my fan table went over very well and the con itself was a lot of fun. For all my fellow Kpop fans, I went to see the group Vanner in January and they were amazing and ill be seeing Eric Nam and Amber Liu this week.

Well now that the catchup is over let me get down to why you are all reading and thats to hear my thoughts on the Winter Anime 2020 season. I must say, this season has been a little underwhelming for me, so far I have dropped 3 animes with a potential 4th to go. I dropped the Rugby anime Number24 because I dont mind anime with pretty guys doing pretty guy stuff but when I watch a sports anime I want the sports aspect and I want character development and I didnt get that from Number24. Next I dropped ID:Invaded mainly because I felt that it tried way to hard to be physiological and not in a good way, lastly I dropped the new Madoka Magica show only because I was confused and felt I needed to watch the original first.

The season has not been all bad, I have been enjoying Pet even though its a bit confusing also Ishuzoku Reviewers has also been a bundle of pervy fun lol and Darwins Game is really really dope and I recommend it for sure.. Well that wraps up this post for now, let me know what you have been watching this season and what shows did you drop? Leave a comment below.

The is to be back in two weeks with another blog post, so Ill see you guys then.
