Baccano! Anime Review

Hey guys! I hope you all are having a great holiday so far and hopefully enjoying some anime. As some of you may know, every year The Reverse Thieves Podcast does a secret santa type thing where bloggers recommend animes to each other and we watch and then review said anime. This is my third time participating in the secret santa event and since I dont celebrate Christmas this has turned into my own holiday tradition lol. This year's recommendation was a anime that I had wanted to watch but never got around to, I always heard alot of great things about it so I was really looking forward to watching it and this review is the result. Before I continue I want to say thanks for whoever recommended the anime Baccano! to me. Now on to the review!

Baccano....Baccano, where do I start with this show, if you have been a anime fan for at least 5 years then it is likely that you have heard of the anime Baccano and if you are like me then you have also heard that the anime is also pretty amazing. Well sorry to say but I found Baccano to be alot of things but awesome was not one of them.

The best way to describe Baccano would be to say that it is half 91 days and half durarara and on paper that sounds like a good mashup but it doesnt come across as well as expected. To start on a positive note I will say that this anime is just a ball of random violence and fun, and yes those two do not usually go together but in this anime these two aspects, especially the violence definitely stands out....ALOT! The main problem that I had threw-out watching this show was that the plot never seemed to have a single clear direction, there was at least 4 to 5 plot lines that go in so many directions that by the time they finally wrapped up I had lost interest in them.

If I had to pick a favorite plot line, I would have to say that the alchemy plot was my favorite mainly because it was weird yet cool to watch Quates just suck the soul out of people with his hand lol. By far my favorite characters would have to be Issac and Miria and I enjoyed them because they added some much needed light hearted comedy to a show that is about 90% blood and guns.

Overall, as a show that I was excited to watch, I was a little disappointed that it did not live up to the hype, and I felt that they attempted to do to much with this anime and it all got jumbled and it didnt come out well. I can not say that I regret watching Baccano though because if nothing else it was fun to just watch mindless violence from characters that thrived on it and really enjoyed the act of killing. As a fan of Durarara I do recommend you watch it but if you dont like Durarara I dont think you will like Baccano.

Otaku Puppy Update

Hey Guys! Hope everyone is getting ready to have a great Thanksgiving. I just wanted to pop in a give you guys a quick update. First is a update to Eclipse Animation, I mostly update it at school/work but ill be out before Christmas time so before the 5th you guys will see a new lineup that will run until new years and if im lucky the lineup will include some live action anime movies as well as some stage plays.

Next up im taking part in the Reverse Thieves Podcast Secret Santa so Ill have a review on a anime up in a few weeks, im really excited ive done this before and both times I feel in love with the anime I was watching so Im hoping for the same result this time.

And lastly, me and robert may be attending a a maid cafe on Dec. 16th so if we go be sure you guys will get tons of photos and maybe even some videos.

Panty and Stocking With Garter belt: Forgotten Anime 10?

Hey guys! Hope your all doing well. Im finally back with a new blog post, I was hoping to do one sooner but all this homework from school has been piling up so ive been working on getting it all under control lol. Today im coming back with another forgotten anime, now this time i couldnt figure out what anime to talk about at first, I was scrolling threw my myanimelist to see what shows I had watched and then it hit me lets talk about the classic Panty and Stocking!


Where do we start with Panty and Stocking, i will admit it was definitely one of my favorite animes back in 2011, the show had the perfect mix of pervy, pervy and a little more pervy lol I mean we had a angel that loved sex. This was one of those animes that you expected to somewhat have a selected audience but was surprisingly popular with alot of anime fans. The main reason im talking about this show today is because while the show was popular 4 to 5 years later its not a show you hear anyone really talk about but when you look at some of the shows that came out during that time like Deadman wonderland, Bakuman, Blue exorcist and a personal favorite Mayo Chicki so with so many good shows for panty and stocking to stick out the way it did shows that it had something that caught fans attention.

For me Panty and Stocking will go down as one of those animes that you can just watch when you need a good laugh and dont mind putting your mind in the gutter for a little while, the show is just good old dirty fun that anyone can enjoy.

Eclipse Animation update

Hey guys, hope everyone is doing great. Hopefully you all have been enjoying Eclipse Animation, and today im here with a update for you guys. First I had to go in a change the format for Eclipse because We wanted to make it like a traditional tv channel so i deleted the old channel and started a new one and with the new one its 24/7 so shows will play threw and when you start watching you will just jump into a show just like you would if you were changing channels at home. Secondly we now have a tv guide so can see what shows will be on threw out the day, and lastly fridays-sundays for the time being will just be movies all weekend.
